I am currently in Lisbon, a place I visit often. I have been doing lots of information gathering and jotting down ideas for specifics I can write about.

As a budget traveller I will be making suggestions for free things to do in Lisbon, or things that cost very little.
If you are in Lisbon during the autumn/winter months one thing you must do is join the hundreds, possibly thousands, of people who wait along the promenade (Av. Ribeira das Naus) to watch the sun go down behind the Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge.
Find your spot early for it can get crowded and you want to have a good view. While you wait you can people watch, listen to one of the many street entertainers or have a drink while sitting in a deck chair provided by the Quiosque Ribeira das Naus. Be warned though, the drinks there are not the cheapest, you may pay €5.00 for a glass of wine.
Another popular spot is at Cais das Colunas, where you might be lucky enough to get a seat on the steps down to the sand where you can also view the sand sculptures. Best not to sit there eating anything though as you may get swooped on by the numerous seagulls who gather waiting for unsuspecting tourists.
That’s all I’m going to say because the photos tell the story much better than I do.
